Experience
I have tutored for over 20 years, and I teach students at various levels in my profession as a physician. I regularly work with medical students in the hospital setting teaching clinical skills and have taught graduate level courses in psychology as a TA. I have tutored test prep and worked as a tutor for Chegg and SCORE! And independently as a homework helper and private tutor . Before becoming a Physician, I obtained masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology. In addition to extensive experience in Data Analysis, Research design and methodology and statistical methods, I have also worked with many students in assessment and fundamentals of Psychology. I am a published author, with expertise in Professional as well as academic writing. I have a very extensive mathematics background due to my career in the sciences. I tutor elementary math through college/graduate level Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics/Probability. I have had extensive training in epidemiology and statistics from my masters and doctoral programs in the social sciences as well as my MD training in the biological sciences. I have used statistics and epidemiology/experimental design methods throughout my 18+ years of research in clinical and basic science, and have had to perform complex statistical analysis on large data sets. I enjoy teaching some of the hard to grasp concepts to students, and also teach probability and inferential/business statistics. I am a Physician specializing in general surgery. I obtained my MD after completing an MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology I have an extensive background in medicine, health sciences, pre-medical curriculum, physics, psychology, physiology, and science research techniques and methodology. I have extensive test prep experience as well as expertise in college and medical school admissions as well as resume writing. I have extensive experience in Academic writing in both the Social sciences and Biological/Physical Sciences. I have helped many students with admissions essays and personal statements. I am a published author with experience in formal research and article development, as well as creative writing and Resume building.
